Ray Dilling's BIO
Most of the knives I make are now made of CPM154 steel. I make a few from “damasteel” which is a stainless damascus from Sweden. These are quality steels with good toughness and edge holding quality.
For handles I use a lot of stabilized hardwood burls and some natural hard woods such as Kingwood which cones from Africa . Some are adorned with with buffalo horn, walrus ivory or sheep horn
All my knives come with hand made leather sheaths .
I make mostly hunting knives with blades around three to four inches in many styles including Skinners, trailing points, clip points or drop points
hopefully I might have something you like if you are looking for a quality knife for yourself or a good friend please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
